Car accidents
No fee unless we win. Attorneys available 24 hours a day.
Someone ran a light, changed lanes into you, or hit you from behind. Now there is a car you can’t drive, a body that hurts more than it did yesterday, and an adjuster on the phone who sounds helpful. That adjuster’s job is to settle your claim for as little as possible before you know what it is worth.
We handle everything from that first call onward: the other driver’s insurer, your own insurer, the repair, the medical bills, the lost wages, and the final number. You handle getting better.
What to do now
- 1
See a doctor today.
Neck, back and head injuries often take days to show. A same-day record ties the injury to the crash.
- 2
Don’t give a recorded statement.
Not to their insurer, and not to yours until we’ve spoken. Tell them your attorney will be in touch.
- 3
Keep the evidence.
Photos, the police report number, the other driver’s insurance card, dashcam files, and every bill.
What your claim can include
- Medical treatment, now and in the future
- Lost wages and lost earning capacity
- Repair or replacement of your car
- Pain, suffering, and loss of enjoyment of life
- Uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage from your own policy
How long you have
In California you generally have two years from the date of the crash to file a lawsuit for injuries, and three years for property damage. If a city, county or state vehicle was involved, you have only six months to file a government claim.
Evidence disappears far faster than that. Camera footage is often overwritten within weeks, so call before the deadline feels close.
Good to know
- Partly at fault? You can still recover.
- California is a pure comparative fault state. If you were 20% at fault, you recover 80% of your damages. Insurers use fault to reduce offers; we use the evidence to push back.
- The other driver has no insurance.
- Around one in six California drivers is uninsured. If your own policy has uninsured motorist coverage, we claim against it, and your rates cannot legally be raised for doing so.
“The adjuster had already offered me $8,000 and I was about to take it. Rachel told me not to sign anything. Eleven months later the case settled for a lot more, and she called me herself every time something happened.”
Every case is different. Prior results do not guarantee or predict a similar outcome in your case.
